I had a wonderful time meeting Ariana and Kevin for the first time! They have a beautiful home that they share with their newborn baby girl and two gregarious frenchies, Bonnie and Roo. They’re amazing parents to children and pups alike, love traveling and yoga, and are thoroughly enjoying introducing their baby to all kinds of different music. We had fun hanging out in their yard, listening to Kevin play banjo while we enjoyed the beautiful weather (and me profoundly enjoying Bonnie and Roo’s fetch antics – particularly Roo sticking his head into the frisbee and carrying it around with his face in the middle until Bonnie would have enough and take the frisbee back like the older sister she is). It was my pleasure to document this sweet little time in their life!

I’ve photographed Abbi and Olivia at all sorts of important stages of their family now and I’ve built up quite a documentary archive of their beautiful life. They have two boys who are ADORABLE. One who is addicted to anything adrenaline-filled (anything involving wheels and a helmet, as well as jumping on the bed), and one who is currently addicted to the lighter things in life like bubbles and blueberries and sink water. Older Brother looooves teaching Younger Brother new things, and they cook together in their little outdoor kitchen and play together on their wall full of Household Stuff (old telephone parts, faucet handles, Master locks, keyboards – truly a gem of a DIY kid toy). Abbi and Olivia are constantly on the move after these fast-moving small humans, currently in the important stage of family life called “trying to keep up with very active kids.” And bounding around all of this, fast moving kids and fast moving moms, is Basil the German Shepherd, who is constantly trying to catch sunlight coming off of any object (usually my camera on photo days). It’s a joyful time in the heart of this little sweet family, and I’m glad I was there to capture the days of being little and carefree for these boys and their mamas.

So happy to have these friends back on the blog! Sara and Joe welcomed their newest addition of a baby girl into their family this spring, and it was a joy to photograph her sweet little face! She was so sweet and was an excellent little sleeper for photos. I’m so excited to see what her personality will be as she grows up! She’s seen here alongside her older brother, who is a car make/model expert. He can name what seems like quite literally any make and model of car he sees. His parents, previously not car people, now find themselves definitely aware of what model Buick is parked on their street. He prefered the family-photo-smiling strategy of saying “1-2-3 Jeep!” instead of “1-2-3 cheese!”… and that’s my photography tip to you, fellow parents of car kids. ;) This incredible sibling duo is also pictured alongside their furry siblings: dog Max and cats Cloud and Usagi. Max and Usa are our buds and were easy to photograph. Cloud, the family skeptic, required some treats in exchange for being photographed but decided it was worth it. It was a joy to photograph this family all together and help them welcome their new little girl to their wonderful home!
