CSP portrait sessions for auction to benefit great local animal rescue!

exciting news!

the shakori hills fall festival of music and dance is happening tomorrow through sunday, october 8-11th, just slightly southwest of chapel hill in pittsboro (directions)…and carolyn scott photography is proud to announce that we are participating in an auction benefitting the all breed animal rescue of the carolinas! the rescue will have a booth at shakori hills and will be auctioning off merchandise and other goodies to benefit this fantastic non-profit organization. at the booth will be three certificates from our photography business, entitling the winner of the auction to a free photography session, online gallery, and 8×10 print of their choosing. you can use the session for your pets, family, high school senior, engagement shoot, etc. please come out to shakori hills to bid on our certificates and to help raise money for a great cause!

october is crazy!

okay, so my promises to update everyday except for friday got thrown out the window lately due to an increasingly intense schedule. doing tons of editing, emailing, consulting, post-office-visiting lately and have been super busy. friends were over, more friends were in from out of town, and family moves on in this weekend. wedding in new york the weekend after, then things settle down for a week… then pick back up again. :) it’s a good thing! but unfortunately my faithful blog suffers slightly.

we have all of our wedding stuff to do on top of this and, more importantly, have to start dragging the halloween decorations out of the storage closet. :) of course, i ran out of printer paper, laundry detergent, and dish washing detergent today. this should tell you something about what our lives have been like lately.

i am on to editing photographs of my lovely friend abby and her boyfriend matt from last week! the first pictures from that will be up tomorrow. i’ll be starting them now and finishing just in time to hike it to pittsboro to visit our reverend!  phew!

in the meantime, i’m also burning a cd of laura’s cats that she’ll be finally receiving this weekend when she comes to visit. :)

adventures at the angus barn.

so a little over a week ago geoff and i had an event that we shot for con-way freight out of ann arbor, michigan at the angus barn in raleigh. the people were outstanding and we had a wonderful time, not to mention ate wonderful food! although i’m known to have a thing for any type of pasta, i decided that i had to have filet mignon since i was at a renown steakhouse instead of, say, their cheese ravioli. the steak was wonderful! we ended up with a lot of wonderful shots of the great con-way freight crew and the beautiful angus barn (pictured below):

this was the cake that the crew got the angus barn to give to their boss…it was going to be his birthday in a few days. awesome!

i’ve been super busy with clients lately and getting things figured out with my canon (a few pixels are dead and i’m going to have to return it)… also, my friend is coming in from out of town this weekend, so i’ll probably be updating next on monday…maybe in between if i get a chance. :) have a great weekend!
